The 2014 Nuland-Pyatt call is a diplomat expressing a preference

It is not unusual and is in fact entirely expected that diplomats in private phone calls are expressing preferences for who they want to be in power during any period of political change. Undoubtedly during every US election it is likely every embassy for countries all of the world in the US have people discussing who they hope wins the next presidential election. Discussing preferences does not present any evidence of a coup.
